Our Mission & Vision |
At a time when bi-/multilingual education continues to build momentum as a field of research, practice, and advocacy across the globe, there is a need for a concerted strategic vision and approach for prompting the field's systematic internationalization. As scholars committed to the advancement of bi-/multilingual education within and beyond our respective national contexts, we are extremely excited and honored to welcome you to ICBERG, the International and Comparative Bi-/Multilingual Education Research Group.
We envision ICBERG as a unifying international movement and community of mindful, open-minded, engaged, and collaborative scholar-practitioners dedicated to forging a new transnational path for bi-/multilingual education research, practice, professional development, and advocacy. From a variety of conceptual, theoretical, and research traditions and world-contexts―and through international and comparative bi-/multilingual education research, professional development and advocacy―ICBERG aspires to serve as a steadfast driving force for fostering partnerships, building and nurturing collaborations, and generating globally minded innovations for making a greater impact within, across, and beyond national borders. We warmly welcome you to this exciting adventure aimed at building a world-community and broadening epistemic horizons in bi-/multilingual education research, scholarship, practice, and advocacy!
